The ride

Sant Grau is the climb that separates the coast rides from each other. It goes up from the sea through pine and cork oak, and the descent on the far side is the one local riders argue about — the Corbes de Tossa, hairpin after hairpin with the Mediterranean underneath you.

Add La Ganga on the way home and you have a hundred and eight kilometres with two real climbs in them. This is a day out, not a training ride.

Passport climbs: Sant Grau and La Ganga

Two of the passport climbs in one ride. Sant Grau is the long one from the coast; La Ganga is the one that hurts on the way home.
